Asal is in post-production!

Our Handsome looking villain-cum-hero is fully focused in finishing his landmark project very soon! The team of ‘Asal’ is back from Paris just recently, and we hear that 80% of the film’s shoot is over as of now. The remaining part will be of a fight sequence and two more songs. But then the team is not willing to waste any time...

What we here from the close circle is that, as the makers are keen to release the film for Pongal, they have started the post-production of ‘Asal’ simultaneously.

Starring Sameera Reddy and Bhavana in the female lead, ‘Asal’ has Ajith doing double role, one as an upright cop and the other as his look-alike is an unscrupulous fraud.

Sources further add that the audio release will be in the month of December.

Then this will be a ‘Asal’ Pongal...

Sampath and Suresh to clash with ‘Asal’ Ajith

Suresh, the handsome hero of 80s, and Sampath one of the smart baddies of the industry are ready to rub shoulders with our ‘Asal’ hero Ajith Kumar.

As of now Ultimate Star is fighting it out with Sampath in Paris for the last two weeks.

When asked about ‘Asal’ shoot Sampath said, “Ajith sir is the coolest star I have ever met. He taught me a few things during the shoot of ‘Asal’. I had earlier worked with him in ‘Tirupathi’, but did not have so many scenes together, this time I’m happy and lucky. Everything is shaping up well.”

Birdies say that the action scenes and arguments between the hero and the bad guys are shot with the touch of Hollywood style. Suresh will sport a bald look for this big budget action film produced by Prabhu and Ramkumar for Sivaji Productions.

This Saran’s film has Sameera Reddy and Bhavana to play the female leads.

Ajith Returns To Chennai

For the past one month, Asal cast went in France and Switzerland for shooting. The shooting was held in tight packed schedule. 30% of scenes including fight sequences and two song sequences has been canned there including a duet song of Ajith and Sameera. Celebrities including Prabhu, "Panneer Pushpangal" Suresh, "Saroja" Sampath Raj, Sameera Reddy and Bhavana took part in the France - Swiss schedule of Asal shooting along with Thala Ajith. After finishing the shooting, Ajith returned to Chennai yesterday morning (Oct 23, 2009). About 80% of the shooting is over. Remaining shooting is expected to be held in Chennai. The film is getting ready for Pongal Jallikkattu.

The runaway Telugu hit, Magadheera will not be remade in Tamil. As if to put an end to the speculations of a possible remake, an announcement about the release of the movie’s dubbed version in Tamil has been made recently. Accordingly Magadheera will be dubbed in Tamil and released for Pongal 2010. Pongal will also see Vijay’s Vettaikaran and Ajith’s Asal pitted against each other.

Earlier it was rumored that Magadheera would be made in Tamil with big names being associated with it.

Venkat Prabhu waiting for Ajith’s call

It is well known in the film circles that Venkat Prabhu shares a good rapport with Ajith. There was a buzz that Ajith’s 50th film would be directed by Venkat Prabhu. But with days passing by there is still no news from either the director or the actor.

In a recent interview to a Tamil magazine, Venkat Prabhu was quizzed about his venture with Ajith and he had responded that the star had once told him that they would work together in his 50th film. The director added that nothing materialized after that chance meeting and he is waiting for a call from Ajith. He jocularly remarked that should Ajith give him a call this moment, he was ready to leave things as it is and begin the project with the Ultimate Star!

Bharathwaj Says That "Unnai Paartha Pinbu" Is His All Time Favourite

Now (Oct 10, 2009), Musical Star Night is being held in Nehru Stadium, as a part of FEFSI conference, offered by all India Music Composers and playback artists. The program is being compered by Vijay Aadhiraj.

As a part of the program, Music Director Bharathwaj came to stage and sang the song "Avaravar Vazhkayil" from Pandavar Boomi. After singing the song, Vijay Aadhiraj asked a couple of questions to Bharathwaj.

Vijay Aadhiraj asked Bharathwaj, "Which song did he hum all the time and his all time favourite song ?". For that, Bharathwaj said that his all time favourite is "Unnai Paartha Pinbu" song from Ajith's Kadhal Mannan for which SPB rendered his voice.

Then, Vijay Aadhiraj said that he knw that Asal songs are going to rock. On hearing this, the stadium was full of claps and whistles. Bharathwaj smiled and said that surely Asal songs will be rocking.

And the most happy news for Ajith fans is that Thala Ajith is attending the Mega Star Nite Show by All India Film Starts and dancers, which is to be held at Nehru Stadium tomorrow (Oct 11, 2009).

Silambarasan says a big No

Silambarasan has denied reports appeared in a section of the media he was doing a cameo in Ajith’s forthcoming film ‘Asal’.

Says the actor, who had portrayed himself as the fan of Ajith in a couple of his films ('Manmadhan' and 'Silambattam'), "it is true that I am a great of Ajith. But how can I act or croon for 'Asal' when I have not been contacted by the director or producer of the movie. There is no truth in the reports."

The actor however has no reservation to say that he might work with Ajith in future. "If I get a chance, I will take it as a honour," he says.

Heaping praise on Ajith, Silambarasan says, "He is a man of perfection, decency and self-confidence. There is a lot to learn from him. I am proud and happy to be his fan."

அஜீத்துடன் சிம்பு ஆட்டம்!

சிம்பு பிளஸ் அஜீத் ரசிகர்களுக்கு ஒரு நற் செய்தி. இந்த இரண்டு ஸ்டார்களும் இணைந்து அசல் படத்தில் ஒரு அட்டகாசமான பாடலுக்கு ஆட்டம் போட்டுள்ளனராம்.

சிம்பு சமீப காலமாக தீவிர அஜீத் ரசிகராகி விட்டார். தனது படம் ஒன்றில் அஜீத் ரசிகராகவே அவர் நடித்திருந்தார். இந்த நிலையில் தற்போது அஜீத்துடன் இணைந்து ஒரு படத்தில் தலை காட்டுகிறார்.

சிவாஜி பிலிம்ஸ் தயாரித்து வரும் படம் அசல். அஜீத் நாயகன். இந்தப் படத்தில் ஒரு பாடலுக்கு அஜீத்துடன் இணைந்து ஆடுகிறாராம் சிம்பு. படத்தின் ஹைலைட்டாக இந்தப் பாடல் இருக்குமாம்.

ஏற்கனவே சில ஹீரோக்களுக்காக பாடல்கள் பாடியுள்ளார் சிம்பு. ஆனால் தற்போதுதான் இன்னொரு முன்னணி ஹீரோவுடன் இணைந்து திரையில் தோன்றுகிறார்.

அதேபோல தனது நண்பரான எஸ்.ஜே.சூர்யா தெலுங்கில் இயக்கி வரும் புலி படத்தில், சூர்யாவின் கோரிக்கைக்கேற்ப ஒரு பாடலுக்கு ஆடியுள்ளாராம் சிம்பு. படத்தின் நாயகன் பவன் கல்யாணுடன் இணைந்து இந்த பாடலில் ஆடுகிறாராம் சிம்பு.

இந்த புலி படத்திற்கு இன்னொரு பின்னணிக் கதை உள்ளது. முதலில் இதை தமிழில் விஜய்யை வைத்துத்தான் இயக்குவதாக இருந்தார் சூர்யா. விஜய்யும் சம்மதித்து எல்லாம் ரெடியான நிலையில் திடீரென நடிக்க மறுத்து விட்டார் விஜய்.

என்ன காரணம் என்று அப்போது கூறப்பட்டது என்றால் - புலி கதையில் சிம்பு வின் ஆலோசனையின் பேரில் பல மாற்றங்களை செய்தி ருந்தார் எஸ்.ஜே.சூர்யா . இதனால் அப்செட் ஆன விஜய் புலிக்கு கும்பிடு போட்டு விட்டாராம்.

Ajith's simplicity

On Sep 19, 2009 Ajith visited Mathurandhagam, where he is building his own miniature helipad.

He came in his Ford Endeavour car singly in self drive. On the way, suddenly he parked his car in a roadside motel named Brindhavan at Mathurandhagam. People were stunned to see such a big star there. He casually entered the hotel and started ordering the food items. The whole hotel was staring at him and Ajith was smiling at everyone of them.

After he finished his breakfast, people gathered around him. A waiter asked how is Asal shooting going on. Ajith, with a smile replied that its going very well. Some people asked about his 50th movie. Ajith replied that talks are going on and soon it will be announced. People took photos with him and he said bye to everyone and left the place.

The waiters said that they never expected a big star to come to their hotel and eat so casually. They were really happy with the way that Ajith answered to their questions in a humble manner.
