Ajith and Sameera to dance in front of Eifel Tower!

Sivaji Productions is starting a 23-day schedule of their Ajit action thriller Asal, from September 18 in Paris and other parts of southern France including Cannes.

Later the unit will move to London, where a major chunk of the film will be shot.

The film directed by Saran has Sameera Reddy and Bhavana as heroines. Two songs tuned by Bhardwaj are going to be canned in this schedule. One of the songs will be picturised against the moonlit Eifel Tower in Paris.

After the Paris and London shoot nearly 80 percent of the film will be over. Asal is likely to be a Pongal 2010 release.

Ajith flies for France tomorrow!

Ajith is busy working 24/7 these days with 'Asal' directed by Saran. Produced by Sivaji Productions ‘Asal’ has Sameera Reddy and Bhavana opposite our Thala.

Now we have heard that Ajith is leaving to France tomorrow for the shoot of ‘Asal’. Sources confirm that he will be back on October 8th to grace the FEFSI function that is to happen in Chennai. The first schedule that was shot in Malaysia was wrapped-up recently.

Birdies had it earlier that the second schedule of the shoot is to take place very soon in London. As planned earlier, 30% of the shoot will happen in London, 50% will be shot in Malaysia and 20%will be in Chennai.

Thala is will be flying to France soon… So, will we get to see any French models accompanying him in the movie?

Ajith in London!

The second schedule of Ajith starrer ‘Asal’ is to take place very soon in London. As planned earlier, 30% of the shoot will happen in London, 50% will be shot in Malaysia and 20%will be in Chennai. Starting with the first schedule, the share that was calculated to be shot in Malaysia was wrapped-up recently.

Sources close to the project say that Ajith will be a decently dressed villain in London. “Ajith will be enacting in a scene in which he gives out an interview to America’s Wall Street journal in British English accent,” added the source.

The point is that our “Thala” Ajith is taking full-fledged practice to deliver the talk with the proper British accent!

A very big debate was going on between media and Ajith fans also about the producer and director of Ajith's 50th movie. Many names were in the list. At first, media gave news that Ajith is going to act in Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster film "Magadheera" for Kalaippuli S.Thanu. Then, news came that Oscar Ravichandran is going to do the 50th movie for Ajith. The probable directors list was much bigger which comprised of K.S.Ravikumar, K.V.Anand, "Poo" Sasi, Venkat Prabhu, Vishnuvardhan and so on. There was no confirmation about this from Ajith's side. So, Ajith fans were unable to come to a conclusion about Ajith's 50th movie.

The news is that Durai Dayanidhi, son of Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr.Alagiri is producing the 50th movie for Ajith. The movie is to be directed by the director who gave double blockbuster for Ajith namely Villan and Varalaru. Its none other than K.S.Ravikumar who is the most liked director by Ajith fans.

Its true that Ajith has satisfied his fans with the picking of a good director and good producer for his 50th movie.

The official announcement is expected soon.

Rumours are getting higher and higher about Ultimate Star Ajithkumar’s 50th film. While all and sundry is doing guess works on who the lucky producer and director will be, Ajith seems to focus solely on ‘Asal’. Directed by Saran, ‘Asal’ is shaping up well is now back from Malaysian schedule.

However, the latest we hear is that the actor is holding discussing about negotiations with a choice of producers and directors. However, the usual guesses like K S Ravikumar and Vishnuvardhan are the front-runners. When we consider K S Ravikumar, the pair has done super hit projects like ‘Villain’ and ‘Varalaru’ and share a great bond. But then as Ulaganayagan Kamal is ready to recreate the ‘Dhasavatharam’ magic again, K S Ravikumar is in a tight-spot now!

By the time K S Ravikumar is deciding on the best suitable project for him, the others chosen by Ajith are his favourite ‘Billa’ director Vishnuvardhan, ‘Ayan’ director K V Anand and his dearest Venkat Prabhu.

A.R.Rahman Wins "Grassroot Grammy" Award For Ajith starrer Varalaaru

The 'Mozart of Madras' bagged the top prize for the soundtrack in the Tamil film Godfather in the 'Best Indian album' category at the 'Just Plain Folks 2009 Music Awards' held recently.

Bangla band 'Krosswindz' and Ilayaraja were among others nominated in the category.

With over 50,000 members worldwide, the 'Just Plain Folks 2009 Music Awards' is aimed at supporting grassroot songwriters and musicians through networking, education and promotional support.

Rahman also won the third place in the 'Best Indian Song' category for 'Innisai' (Radio Mix) from Godfather while his 'Illamai' was fifth in the same category.

Ilyaraja's "Music Journey: Live in Italy" was third in the 'Best Indian album' category.

In 'Indian Classical and Traditional Album' category, Shweta Jhaveri's "Avishkar" clinched the first position.

The awards received responses from over 163 countries.

As the interest vijay showed in politics, the Tamil Association of Canada has threatened that the immigrant Tamils will boycott Vijay’s movies if he decides to join the Congress party. The announcement was made in a press release by the Association after news was out that Vijay met the Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi in Delhi recently.

The press note also states that though the Association is not against Vijay entering into politics, it would boycott his movies if he joined the Congress party.
